Coach Ralph Jones – Founder of Jones Elite Training

Coach Ralph Jones is the founder of Jones Elite Training (JET) and Director of Track & Field at Charlotte Christian School. With more than 20 years of coaching experience across every level — youth, high school, and NCAA Division I, II, III, and NJCAA — Coach Jones has developed and mentored athletes to compete at the highest levels of track & field and football.

During his collegiate coaching career, he served as Director of Cross Country/Track & Field at CSU East Bay, Assistant Head Coach at Division I Morgan State, and Head Sprint Coach at Central Arizona College, where he was a two-time National Coach of the Year and guided teams to 7 NJCAA national titles.

Since launching JET in 2018, Coach Jones has produced extraordinary results:

  • 32 individual and 12 relay North Carolina state titles (2018–2023)

  • Multiple USATF All-Americans & nationally ranked athletes

  • 2020 Gatorade National Athlete of the Year, Cameron Rose (#1 U.S. sprinter indoor)

  • AAU National Champions & New Balance Nationals Champion

A former NCAA Division I All-American sprinter at Morgan State University, Jones was a four-time MEAC and IC4A champion in the 200m and remains the Cornell University indoor 200m record-holder. He is also a National Semi-Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and a Phoenix Union High School Hall of Fame honoree.

Coach Jones holds a Master’s in Physical Education from The Ohio State University and continues to combine his background as an elite athlete with science-based training methods to help athletes reach their full potential.

At JET, his philosophy is simple: Teach athletes how to compete, teach athletes how to win, teach athletes how to handle winning and create champions.
